Dive

To truly create, one must dive deep down inside themselves, where everything that ever was squeezes down hard on personal experience, crushing it into perfect pearls to be carried back to the surface.
If one returns too fast, the bubbles in the blood will cook the brain, or too slowly and the lack of air strangles it.
Changes of the strangest kind are made. One acclimates more with each new journey, until the depths beckon too seductively, and above, the distant shoreline becomes a fading dream.
